If you chose option A, B, or C above, please make sure you have read and understood the following important points:
Please note that all live, in-person makeup classes will take place at Lafortune Community Center (off 51st Street between Yale and Sheridan). This particular community center offers a VERY large and open reception room that we have rented for our sessions. The safety of your kids is our first priority, and using this large space will allow us to spread the kids out to maintain safe social-distancing during these makeup sessions.
We do not know yet whether children will be required to wear masks during these in-person makeup sessions! This decision will be made closer to the date of the session and will depend on both the policy of the community center at the time of the sessions AND any decision that has been made by Tulsa Schools at the time of the sessions. (We follow the lead of TPS in regards to issues of safety, so if they have announced that students will be required to wear masks at school this fall, we will also require masks to be worn during these makeup sessions.) It is also possible that the community center may be requiring additional safety measures at the time of these sessions, including temperature checks, etc. This information will be communicated to parents in a detailed email that will be sent out shortly before the date of the sessions. Please note that teachers will definitely be wearing masks during these sessions in order to keep your kids safe!
Also, please know that, should the situation in Tulsa worsen (resulting in further legal restrictions on gatherings or the closure of the community center and other event venues) all live sessions will be moved to Zoom. As of now, we do not anticipate that happening, but it is something to be aware of, just in case.
